Piedmont HealthCare (PHC) seeks a dynamic and innovative team member for its user support team. The best candidates will have at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a large ambulatory physician practice setting. PHC has over 170 providers and over 900 total employees in 40+ locations. PHC’s computing environment consists of both physical and virtual desktops, Citrix, VMware and predominantly WINTEL servers running on a Cisco network, both wired and wireless.The Desktop Support Engineer will be counted on to assist multiple practices in keeping their computing assets operational and for working in partnership with IT Application Improvement Analysts to expand the end users’ ability to effectively use the computing resources available to them in providing patient care. Notable 2017 projects include expanding PHC’s patient engagement initiatives through enhanced use of the patient portal, a major software upgrade planned for Q4, and the introduction of Windows 10 to the desktop environment.
